What We Offer
Promoting gentle, respectful, well-informed and joyful care and education of infants and young children, I offer classes and private consultations for parents and early childhood professionals. It is my mission to inspire others through the RIE® Approach pioneered by my mentor, Magda Gerber, as well as the latest research in developmental neuroscience.

Private Consultations
When you trust your own deep wisdom, you intuitively tune in to what your child needs, and care accordingly. Through the coaching dialogue, Ruth Anne helps parents build confidence in their own capability to read their children’s cues and meet their needs. And when you are clear about your own needs and goals, you will feel confident to create family balance, loving your child as you love yourself.
Whether your issue is setting up the nursery, managing relatives with different parenting styles, choosing childcare, sleep disruptions, setting limits, sibling relationships, or developmental questions, often just a new perspective, which Ruth Anne can help you find, will make your load lighter and your heart more patient.
If you have questions about your child’s development or behavior, and would like professional, confidential guidance, in-person, phone or Zoom sessions can be arranged.

RIE® Parent-Infant Guidance Classes™
Offering a no-pressure time to learn from your baby or toddler while they play and interact with other children their age, in this class you get to relax and enjoy the miracle of child development. Valuing their creativity and ingenuity, we let them freely explore the play space which has been carefully set up to offer meaningful physical, mental and social challenges. While the infants and toddlers are becoming ever more confident and competent, the facilitator respectfully demonstrates the principles of the Educaring® Approach when intervention is needed so that you can learn, too. Parents often say class is their favorite 90 minutes per week, and often make lifelong friends themselves.
